What to know before you book a match at Camp Nou: the stands, the final kick-off, and what the gate asks for.

The short answer
Barcelona play their home matches at Camp Nou - officially Spotify Camp Nou - whose licensed capacity is currently about 62,650 while the rebuild continues. Most seats belong to members and season-ticket holders, and the public sale usually opens two to four weeks before the match, by which time a flight has to be booked. A visiting fan normally orders through a supplier, picks a category in advance from the nine marked on the seating map, and receives the ticket a few days before the match.
The ground, and what is worth knowing about it
The match is only part of the evening. These are the things that change the experience:
Spotify Camp Nou
The stadium’s official name since the sponsorship deal. Signs and apps use it; everyone else still says Camp Nou.
Capacity during the rebuild
The ground is being rebuilt, and its licensed capacity today is about 62,650 - less than it was, and more than during the two seasons the club played at Montjuïc.
Nine categories
The stands are split into nine categories, from the lower longside to the upper tiers behind the goal. Each looks different on the map, and each is priced differently.
Not only league nights
Beyond La Liga there are European nights and cup ties. Demand and price differ completely between an ordinary league match, a Clásico and a European evening.
Where to sit at Camp Nou
Camp Nou is a large bowl, and the difference between areas is felt. This is the split worth knowing:
- Central longside, lower tierOn the halfway line and close to the grass. The most sought-after area in the ground.
- Longside, lower tierThe same height, along the touchline and off centre. Close to the match.
- Longside, upper tierHigher up, where the shape of the game is visible. A good compromise.
- Behind the goal, lower tierBehind the goal and close to the grass. Where the atmosphere is, from a low angle.
- Behind the goal, upper tierHigh behind the goal: the whole pitch in view, far from the match.
- Corners, upper tierBetween the two - a diagonal angle and a price in between.
The final kick-off, and why it comes late
This is what catches most travellers out. The fixture list is published before the season, but the day and time of a given match are fixed only weeks ahead:
- Before the seasonThe round is published: who plays whom, and on which weekend.
- 3-5 weeks aheadThe league confirms the final day and time, following the broadcast schedule.
- Two weeks aheadAt most clubs this is also when the public sale opens.
So book a flight that covers the whole weekend, and avoid a return the next morning. On this site the kick-off time appears only once it is official and final - until then the date alone is shown, so nobody books a flight around a time that is still going to change.

The rules differ from club to club, and at Barcelona it pays to arrive prepared:
- Full namesSome orders require the name of every spectator. We ask for them in advance where they are needed.
- PassportWorth having to hand. In some cases the ticket is checked against an ID.
- Arrive earlyThe gates open well before kick-off, and entry to a full house takes time.
- The ticket on the phoneIf it is a digital ticket, load it into the wallet before leaving the hotel - and charge the phone.
Common questions
Do I need to be a club member to buy a Barcelona ticket?
To buy from the club itself, usually yes - and before the public sale the stock opens to members and season-ticket holders first. Through us no membership is needed: the tickets come from authorised agents and suppliers.
When is the final kick-off time known?
Usually three to five weeks before the match, when the league publishes the broadcast schedule. Until then the date can move by a day and the time can change.
Can we sit together?
In most cases yes, though not always in the same row. If sitting together matters, say so and the offer will be matched to it.
Which category is the best value?
It depends what you are after. To watch the football, the longside; for the atmosphere, behind the goal, usually at a lower price. The upper longside is the common compromise.
What about Clásico tickets?
The Clásico is the most sought-after match of the season. Availability is low, the price is far above an ordinary league match, and it is worth asking as early as possible.
