Allianz Arena

Allianz Arena

Bayern Munich's home since 2005 - a sealed three-tier bowl without a single pillar, so almost every seat sees the whole pitch. The outer shell glows red on matchnights and is visible from the autobahn.

Seat-picking tips

  • The middle tier - the Mittelrang - along the touchlines is the best buy in the ground: high enough to read the game, close enough to feel it.
  • The south end, the Südkurve, is the loudest and cheapest part of the ground, but for Bundesliga matches it is a home standing terrace whose tickets almost never reach open sale. For Champions League and international fixtures it converts to numbered seats.
  • The upper tier is steep and genuinely high, but with no pillars in the way - a full tactical picture of the pitch, and its corners are the cheapest seats in the ground. Less suited to anyone uneasy with heights.
