Napoli's home in the Fuorigrotta district, known as the San Paolo until it was renamed for Maradona in 2020. A concrete bowl of three rings with only two of them in use - the top one has been shut since 2005 - and an athletics track still circling the pitch. Deafening on a big night, but the stands sit further back than television suggests.
Seat-picking tips
- The running track pushes every low row away from the touchline - the central blocks of Distinti Superiori read the game far better than the front of the lower tier.
- Curva B is the historic ultras home and the louder of the two ends, but Curva A holds organised groups as well - it is not the quiet alternative. Both are cheaper than the sides, and both sit behind a goal beyond the track: play at the far end is a long way off.
- Tribuna Posillipo, the upper tier above the halfway line, is the best view in the ground. Tribuna Nisida is the end of that same stand towards Curva B - cheaper, but at a far more oblique angle.
