Germany's largest stadium. The South Stand - Die Gelbe Wand, the Yellow Wall - is the biggest single-tier terrace in Europe, holding close to 25,000 standing fans. Standing is not permitted on European nights, so it is converted to seats and the ground holds around 66,000.

Seat-picking tips

The South Stand is a standing terrace with no allocated seat - the cheapest and loudest part of the ground, but you are on your feet for the full match, so arrive early to claim a spot. Standing is banned in European fixtures, where the same ticket becomes a numbered seat.
The Yellow Wall is visible from all round the ground, but the head-on view of the choreographies is from the North Stand opposite, which costs less than the touchline stands - avoid its back rows, where the view is partly obstructed.
For the football itself take the lower tier of the touchline stands - the West, the main stand with the players' tunnel and dugouts, or the East directly opposite at the same angle. Both are steep with no running track, so sightlines are excellent.
