Groupama Stadium

Groupama Stadium

Home to Olympique Lyonnais since 2016, built in the suburb of Décines east of the city rather than in Lyon itself. A modern four-stand bowl whose roof canopy reaches inside and covers every seat - it staged the 2019 Women's World Cup final and 11 matches of the Paris 2024 Olympic football tournament, more than any other venue. Since 2025 the club's women's side, OL Lyonnes, plays all of its home matches here too.

Seat-picking tips

  • The middle ring of the side stands, Tribune Est and Tribune Ouest, gives the best balance of height and closeness - the lower ring is right on the pitch but flat, and the shape of the game is hard to read from it.
  • Behind the goals, Virage Nord (Bad Gones) and Virage Sud (Lyon 1950) are the loudest and the cheapest ends, but the lower blocks stand for the full ninety minutes and the view of the near goal is partial. For a first match, or with children, take a side stand.
  • The away section sits in the upper blocks of Tribune Est, at the end nearest Tribune Sud - worth checking that the side-stand seat you are buying does not fall in that corner.
