José Alvalade
José Alvalade
A two-tier bowl in northern Lisbon, built for Euro 2004 and known for the translucent roof over its stands and the uniform green it was repainted in 2022. The moat that separated the crowd from the pitch was removed in the summer of 2025, and the front rows now sit almost level with the grass.

Seat-picking tips
- The dugouts and the most expensive seats are in the west stand, Poente - Nascente, the east side opposite, gives almost the same sightline for less.
- The south end, Topo Sul, and sector A14 in the lower tier in particular, is the Juventude Leonina end: the loudest part of the ground, but people stand on the seats with flags and drums for the full ninety minutes.
- The rows added in 2025 where the moat used to be sit almost level with the grass, so the view is flat and depends heavily on the exact row - a few rows higher is safer, and the upper tier (Bancada B) behind the goal is the cheapest place to see the whole pitch.
